Job summary

A standard job? No such thing at Samskip.

Job description

You lead by example by thinking in terms of solutions. That’s how you raise the terminal's quality to a higher level. As an energetic terminal foreman you operate the terminal with another foreman: together you come up with well-considered solutions for both the company and its customers.
A standard job? No such thing at Samskip.

Your way of bringing innovation to our organization is an important part of the job. In a 24/7 operation, you ensure that there is always enough staff available to get the job done. This must of course be done within the available budget and working hours of your employees. You look into which processes can be improved and raise efficiency. Together with the branch manager you keep the costs manageable in achieving our goals. Samskip relies on you to:

  • establish your own departmental processes.
  • follow-up and report in accordance with agreed KPIs.
  • share the tasks among your own employees.
  • bear responsibility for health, safety and the environment in your own department.
  • report in accordance with management routines and requests.

An international position based in the ports of Norway.

From Samskip's offices, you have an international impact on our operations and share in the success and development of one of Europe's largest transport companies. On land, at sea and by rail. Your expertise has an international impact at Samskip.

International? Certainly. We ship goods across the globe, and we need plenty of people to make this happen. This means your work reaches far beyond Norway alone, as you help customers from all over the world. As a company, we consciously promote sustainable and environmentally friendly transport and you regularly reap the benefits of this. That's because we deliver many of the products you see in your supermarket, with the lowest possible environmental impact.

Team up

Your new workplace is in Trondheim. With nine colleagues working at the terminal and six at the office, this is a great working environment where you can get the best out of yourself. Have you got what it takes to set course for new successes?

You can count on us.

As well as an important job in which you operate in an international work setting, we offer the following, based on a 40-hour working week:

  • a salary commensurate with your knowledge and experience.
  • five weeks' annual leave.
  • a pension scheme and personal insurance.
  • limitless opportunities for self-development.

Actions speak louder than words.

Show your innovative strengths and set the course for the team. So far so good? We'd love to hear from you if you also have:

  • a minimum of three years working at a terminal or warehouse. You have worked in an environment where forklift trucks are used.
  • at least three years of experience in truck driving. You will therefore need an HGV license.
  • experience in people management.

We're looking for you.
